My 30" Gas Range Saved Thanksgiving

So far, so good with my new 30" Frigidaire gas range. It takes the place of my 1998 30" Frigidaire gas range which I reluctantly replaced when the oven unit failed to come up to temperature just two weeks before Thanksgiving. My new range saw me through Thanksgiving preparations, and I was impressed by how quickly the oven comes up to temperature. My old range was a workhorse and I hope this one will be, too. Remarkably, this one has almost all the same convenient features and a few additional ones like the continuous grate and a fifth burner. It™™s hard to find a 30™, all-white, gas range without a lot of bells and whistles. Not only did this new range fit the bill, but it is a Frigidaire which means reliability to me.

This range was converted to liquid propane fuel before delivery to my home. My biggest negative observation is: The simmer burner does not go low enough to keep a 10 - 12 gal soup pot at a low simmer. The pot boils.

I don't use my stove very much as I'm single, but it is different from my other stove. I don't care for the lip that sticks out over the oven vent. It is right in the way of some of my pans and it is painted grey instead of white. The burners seem to be very hot. When I have it on high the flames are too large for my pot, even if it is a large one. I never use it higher than a 4 on the control knob. Why have a higher flame if I can't use it. I only used the oven 1 time and I thought it might be running a little hot, but I need to use it more to make an accurate determination. I think the 5 burners will come in handy when I fix holiday meals.

I really like this range. Especially like that there are only 3 combined grates versus individual ones. Also like the burners as compared to my previous stove. Should be easier to clean. The only thing I miss is that the bake time doesn™™t count down. So if I™™m timing side dishes to be done at the same time, I have to use a separate timer.

When You say something is worth what you paid for it ,says a lot, especially today! It's only been a month, BUT everything works with no apparent shoddy design issues or obvious cheap parts that can break at any moment, along with a simple functional control panel. So far I give this stove the best possible rating. Only time will tell the true value of this product. We've had our share of expensive appliance lemons over the last few years

Recently I purchased the Frigidaire gas range and found it to be all that the salesperson at Orvelles promised it would be. I like the timer addition that shuts it off when the specified time of cooking has been reached. Just yesterday I baked two batches of double chocolate chip cookies and they came out perfectly. So far that has been my major usage of the oven, but I have used all the burners with no problems whatsoever.

This stove is everything we wanted to replace our old one. The controls are nearly the same. We haven't used the 5th burner yet. We have to get accustomed to the grates going all the way to the edges. I accidently bumped the back of my hand against the grate. Lesson learned. I'm pretty sure I won't do that again. Other than that, It's fine.

Other than using in an RV Have not had a gas stove in my home- wow instant heat! Love it after getting used to adjusting for temps. The only thing I am not thrilled with is cleaning under the grates but a bit easier than an electric stove.

My old stove was over 20 years old maybe 25 so I was really used to that stove. There are features about the new one that I™™m not in love with for one thing I don™™t know why you put the light switch on the very top of the stove. I think it takes away from the sleekness of the top and also I think it should be where the knobs for the jets are that was where my old stove had the light switch. I™™m not a fan of the oven racks my old stoves rack seemed much weightier, and they also had a feature where when you pulled them out, they seem to have a stopping point I feel like the racks slide out almost too easily. Then there™™s the burner piece where the flame comes out. On my old stove those pieces were removable so I could easily put them in my dishwasher for cleaning. I guess this is the new way of doing things, but these new burners are attached and now to clean them you have to stand by the stove with a toothbrush and scrub them. So much easier to throw pieces in a dishwasher And I am all about easy cleaning. The stove did come damaged but the store I purchased it from was able to get me a replacement within a week which was good. All in all it seems to be working fine so far and maybe I™™m just a little picky, but I thought I™™d point these things out and time will tell how well this appliance will work out. It looks nice and I did get compliments on it.

I really like my new Frigidaire gas range. The burners light quickly and the oven is bright inside.I would have given 5 stars if it didn't have the same flaw that my old stove did. The Power Burner, which is said to be used for cooking large amounts of food, is located on the BACK of the stove top. Why?!!! Why would you put that in the back? If I'm using the small burner in front, how safe is it to reach over a boiling pot to cook large amounts of food in the back? Also, since the burner is in the back, my LARGE pot can't fit squarely on the burner since the back of the stove prevents that. So how do I cook LARGE amounts of food in a MEDIUM or SMALL pot or skillet? I truly hope someone can answer these questions.With all that said, I mainly use the Turbo Boil on the front right of the stove top for most of my cooking. I would just like to be able to utilize the Power Burner to its fullest extent but can't since it's not in the front.All ranges seem to have that flaw for whatever reason, but Frigidaire is the brand recommended by my contractor so I'd certainly purchase this stove again.

The black is wearing off the grates after one month. I have written to Frigidaire and asked for a replacement grate and have not received a response. Also you have to be careful of the knobs on the stove they turn on very easily. Would not recommend this to anyone with small children.

One of the strikers stopped working after about 16 months. This is a stove that is not even used very often. Now, after 20 months a 2nd striker stopped working. Since it's out of warrentee - nothing I can do except use a match to light and/or get an expensive repair. I had my prior stove over 16 years before a striker went out. VERY dissatisfied! ALSO - if you have young children be very careful - the knobs to light the range turn on VERY easily - even if you brush up against them. Most stoves require you to push the knob in then turn - not so with this stove - very dangerous!

Over all I like this range except for when the oven is on and you are cooking something on the top you are hit in the face by heat from the oven. I had a pan on the back burner but not turn on and picked up the pan by the handle and burned my hand. The heat exhausted at the front surface of the oven had made the pot handle to hot to pick up without a hot pad.

Great appliance and fantastic service. From purchase to installation. The only thing I believe you could do better is to let customers know about the toxic smell from the initial oven heat up. It was cold outside and we had to open the house completely and turn on the whole house fan to ventilate during the process which took a long time and used a tremendous amount of natural gas. That increased my power bill significantly.

The oven is NOT working correctly. It was delivered 1/6/22 and I am having repair come in on 1/27/22!! It almost blew up the last time I started the oven. The heat did not come on at first (& I didn't quite realize this ) until there was a LOUD WHOOOOSHH and flames began emitting from the bottom drawer of the oven (I opened it to look and see what was going on). Also the house filled with a STRONG gas odor!!! This is awful for it being less than 3 weeks old here!!! Just awful and I have always thought Frigidaire was a good brand.
